3B: Effective Meetings

This session helps participants understand how to conduct effective meetings. While anyone can schedule a meeting, it takes special skills and strong discipline to use meeting time most effectively. This session shares important tips on “what to do” and “what not to do” to optimize the effectiveness of all types of meetings.

3A: Leading Effective Teams

The first leadership experience most people have is within a team (vs. a formal position of authority), so this module is usually of high interest to people from various backgrounds. Speakers share from their experience and explain a proprietary team effectiveness model comprised of “5C’s” (Clarity of purpose, Commitment, Capability, Culture of Trust, Compatibility). This training helps participants perform more effectively as team members and/or leaders and enables them to identify specific improvement opportunities for teams on which they serve.

  1. Each module runs for 60 minutes (with 10–15 minutes of discussion or Q&A)

  2. In-person delivery.

  3. Suitable for small groups or large cohorts.

  4. Each workshop should include at least three (3) modules — customizable by discipline, group, or institutional priorities — plus one (1) one-hour coaching session.
