Core Leadership

Who you are as a leader matters - because character builds trust.

This curriculum is built on a foundational principle: effective leadership begins with character. Students explore purpose, identity, and the behaviours required to lead with integrity, influence, and impact - even without formal authority.

WORKSHOP MODULES

1A. Identity of a Leader

The session emphasizes that effective leadership is rooted in character (“Who You Are”), which builds trust and ultimately enables strong leadership. Participants reflect on their purpose and definition of success, review examples of personal mission statements, and begin drafting their own to establish a foundation for leadership and long-term success.

1B. Key Behaviors of a Leader (Part 1)

This module defines “What You Do” as a leader using an proprietary “L-E-A-D-E-R” model. This first segment focuses on the first two behaviors (L & E). Speakers share practical examples to help participants put new knowledge into action

THE L-E-A-D-E-R MODEL

Lay Out a Vision (The Visionary)

Engage Others (The Collaborator)

Activate Passion (The Inspirer)

Develop Capability (The Builder)

Execute with Excellence (The Finisher)

Replicate Success (The Sustainer)

1C. Key Behaviors of a Leader (Part 2)

This second segment explains the remaining four Leadership Behaviors (A, D, E, & R) and, once again, shares practical examples to support immediate application.

1D. Inspirational Leadership

Beginning with the question “Are YOU inspired?” this module focuses on how to genuinely inspire others by blending both the science and art of inspiration. It challenges participants to examine their own level of inspiration, presents a practical model with actionable tips, and includes an interactive exercise to apply the concepts.

1E. Influential Leadership

The session explains how to lead peers without formal authority using a three-step model: Logic, Credibility, and In Touch. It draws on real-world examples and experience, highlights the role of character in building credibility, and teaches effective storytelling to strengthen influence and connection.

1F. Habits for Leadership Success

The course explores how daily habits shape thoughts, words, and actions, and how positive habits drive success. It explains how habits work through a four-step model — Signal, Urge, Action, and Benefit — then guides participants to confidently identify and rewire an unhealthy habit to support a healthier, more positive future.
